We often believe that knowing many people means we have a strong network.

But the real question is:

How many of them will actually help when you genuinely need a reference, an opportunity, a job lead or a business connection?
Today, everyone is busy building their own journey—upgrading skills, growing careers and moving ahead. In that race, sometimes people forget to extend a hand to those around them.

Earlier, we heard stories of someone from a village, a relative or a known person helping another get a job or opportunity. Today, being a relative, friend, neighbour or known person does not always guarantee support.

And strangely, sometimes unknown people give us the opportunities we expected from our own people.

So, build your network—but don't build your future on references alone.
Build relationships, but build your capabilities even stronger.
Ask for help, but don't depend on it.
Keep moving, even when nobody opens the door.
And when you reach a position where you can help someone, don't forget to hold their hand.
